Plassteze supplies zero-set precision workholding systems for EDM machines and CNC machining centres across India. Zero-set workholding (pallet systems) enable sub-micron repeatable positioning of workpieces and electrodes across different machines — dramatically reducing setup time, improving accuracy and enabling lights-out machining in die and mould manufacturing.
A zero-set workholding system (also called a pallet clamping system or reference point clamping system) uses precision pallet holders that lock into standardised receivers on machine tables. Once a workpiece is set up on a pallet, it can be transferred between machines and repositioned with repeatability of ±0.002 mm or better.
With a zero-set system, electrodes and workpieces are set up on pallets offline. When loaded onto the EDM machine, the zero-set receiver automatically locates the pallet to the same reference point every time — eliminating re-probing and manual datum setting between setups.
